The Big Holiday Origin Story & Vision

A little about Big Holiday:

Big Holiday is about making high quality clothing that will stand the test of time. We source the best materials - always prioritizing natural fibers where at all possible. We pay fair wages and account for our impact on the environment. We favor classic designs over current trends and feature minimal branding. We want our clothing to look good and hold up for the long haul - providing great value for money for our customers. 

How'd we get here?

Big Holiday co-founders, Blair and Hasan, met at university. Coming from different walks of life and different parts of the globe (Kentucky, USA and Lahore, Pakistan), they were the unlikeliest of friends, but the human spirit prevailed. They instantly hit it off and, just a couple days into knowing one another, attended a My Morning Jacket concert punctuated by the band's anthem One Big Holiday. The name, Big Holiday, is an homage to the power of music and MMJ to bring people together. 

A decade plus later, and their friendship endures. Now, they've joined forces to build a clothing brand that allows them to lean in to their love of clothing in an authentic and enduring way. 

Where are we going?

2025 included the production and launch of Big Holiday's Basics collection. Our tees, sweatshirts, and caps are made from 100% organic cotton, exemplifying our commitment to natural fibers. They were produced in Hasan's hometown, Lahore, benefiting from the centuries of textile heritage in the region. 

In 2026, we will expand beyond our basics collection to casual clothing to be worn to the office, on the town, or on vacation/holiday :-). We will refine our basics collection, moving beyond unisex offerings to men's and women's items. More to come soon on what to expect in Spring/Summer and beyond!

To sum things up, we make clothing we are proud to wear and sell to our family and friends. We hope you'll give us a shot at providing you, our customer, with a great piece of clothing and making a customer for life.
